Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)
Embed directly with clients as the technical owner — a forward-deployed engineer in the mold of Palantir, OpenAI and Anthropic. Turn ambiguous, real-world problems into production AI systems: prototype with agents, integrate into their stack, and iterate on the ground until it works in their reality.
What you'll do
- Embed with the client: map their workflows, data and constraints, then design and ship end-to-end AI solutions — agents, automations and integrations.
- Build agentic systems with Claude / Codex — tool & function calling, MCP, multi-step orchestration — wired into the client's real data and systems.
- Design and tune prompts, retrieval (RAG) pipelines and evals; measure output quality and iterate on real usage.
- Own the full deployment: prototype → production, including data plumbing, APIs and lightweight UI.
- Productize repeatable solutions into reusable skills / modules that become Tenten assets.
- Be the technical bridge between the client and the internal team; make tradeoffs and timelines clear.
Who we're looking for
- 3+ years of software / full-stack engineering; able to ship production code fast under ambiguity.
- Hands-on experience building agentic systems and coding with Claude and/or Codex (tool use, function calling, multi-step agents).
- Solid grasp of prompt engineering and RAG fundamentals — chunking, embeddings, vector search, retrieval and evals.
- Comfortable wiring LLMs into real data and systems via APIs, webhooks and automation (e.g. n8n).
- Strong ownership and excellent client-facing communication; you thrive at the customer frontier.
- Fluent in Chinese and English for overseas B2B clients.
Nice to have
- Experience with MCP, agent frameworks, or LLM eval tooling.
- Prior forward-deployed / solutions-engineering work, or an agency / consulting / startup background.
- Full-stack or data-pipeline depth (Next.js, Webflow, Shopify, vector DBs).
